Q: How does an Electric Essentials Plan help me?
A: If something goes wrong with your electrical system, your homeowner’s insurance will probably not cover the repairs. Our plans provide the peace of mind in knowing who to call in the event an unexpected repair is required. You’ll receive dependable service from our experienced technicians with 24/7 emergency service.

Q: What am I responsible for?
A: As a homeowner, you are responsible for the interior electrical wiring and switches in your home. Many basic homeowners’ insurance policies do not cover repair of interior electric wiring and switches.

Q: How long am I covered by the plan?
A: Each plan is for one year and at our electrician will automatically renew on an annual basis at the current standard rate unless customer opts out of the auto-renewal option in writing by mail at P.O Box 500, Lincolnshire, IL 60069 or by email at cancel@hwahomewarranty.com.

Q: When does the plan coverage start?
A: There is a 30-day waiting period before coverage begins during the initial term year for the repair plans. There is no waiting period for the maintenance plan.

Q: What options do I have to pay for this service?
A: We accept bank drafts [EFT/ACH] and credit/debit cards [Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover].

Q: Can I cancel my plan if I’m not satisfied?
A: If you haven’t received services under the plan you may cancel the plan at any time without penalty. If you have received services under the plan and you cancel before the end of the 12-month term, then you may owe the lesser of the amount due for the unexpired term or the cost of the services under the plan. Please refer to Section 12 in the Terms & Conditions for full details.

Q: What happens after the 12 months?
A: We may elect to renew your plan by notifying you of the renewal terms [including any price changes] within 60 days prior to expiration of coverage. Unless we elect not to renew your plan, you will be automatically renewed for another one-year term at the standard rate and terms unless you notify us, in writing, prior to the plan expiration at P.O Box 500, Lincolnshire, IL 60069 or by email at cancel@hwahomewarranty.com.
